Word of the Week: Dreck
First, a weekly update...
The end is near. In 15 days I'll earn my English degree, and then it's time to hustle. I started another round of revisions this week. I'm digging in deep, taking out anything that doesn't add to the story (sorting through the dreck, if you will), and developing the subplots and character backstories. Fun stuff!
Dreck (Noun)
Definition - Rubbish, trash.
Synonyms - Garbage, refuse, debris.
Near Antonyms - Catch, gem, valuable.
Example - "Izzy sorted through the dreck until she found the missing letter."
Book Suggestion - This week I finished reading Habit Stacking by S.J. Scott. Basically, the idea is to start with a habit you do every day...like brushing your teeth (at least I hope you do that every day). Right after you finish this habit, you stack other activities on top of it, which helps you form new habits. This book also contains a list of 127 small habits, great ideas to get you started on a healthier, happier lifestyle. Learn more by clicking the book cover below...
